Abbey, thank you so much for your comment. Early menopause is still so under-discussed, and it can feel isolating to navigate symptoms that don’t match the usual “timeline.” I’ll be writing more on this in the coming weeks not just the science, but also the lived reality and what better prevention and support could look like. I’d love to bring voices like yours into that conversation.
I moved to concierge medicine 3 years ago and it’s been life saving. Proper diagnoses that I’d been chasing for years. Multiple in depth panels done 2-3x a year. Moving towards excellence and away from “well your labs say you’re fine🤷♀️”. My doc also got me through 2 years of long covid. I shouldn’t have to pay 5k out of pocket annually, and I’m incredibly privileged to do so. Until our healthcare canters our doctors over profit, I honestly don’t see a way out.
Serafina, I love this reflection. I think what you are describing here is both the promise and the problem. concierge care can deliver the depth and rigor that mainstream systems often miss, but it’s gated by cost. You are so on point re the profit over patient outcomes. That is the crux of the matter and why these conversations about ownership and systemic change matter so much.
Martha, I hear this so often and I think it’s important to say: you don’t need millions to make a difference in women's health. Sometimes it starts with being part of a community, amplifying conversations, or backing change in non-financial ways. And for those who do want to invest with smaller amounts, there are emerging paths (like syndicates or pooled vehicles) that I’ll be unpacking here soon. You are already doing something so important by being part of this dialogue, thank you!
As someone who is going through menopause super early in life I’m definitely interested in learning more about it.

I love this information!! Thank you! I only wish I had more money to allow me to invest. I don’t know where to start.
